Urtė Stasiulevičiūtė (Urtestelle) is a Lithuanian visual artist whose work mostly emerges within the medium of photography. With a goal of using photography to visualize one’s subconscious, Urtė draws inspiration from phantasmagorical concepts, mythical stories and fantasy tales such as Alice in Wonderland, and her own dreamscapes. The artist’s additional interest in other art forms, like fashion and film, encourages her to connect all of their uniqueness by playing with shapes, patterns, angles and mix-matching it, in order to display an unfamiliar universe. The reason behind her motivation to create is the many imaginative ideas, constantly emerging within her which give an inner push to put them into physicality. Urtė seeks to clearly express her artistic visions into something that would give perceivers an ability to awaken their imagination.
